Our stay was really lovely. We all felt at home immediately. A beautifully kept place in a great location. This holiday gave us a chance to really escape and find new adventures. I am sure we will be back. Thank you John

Thank you to the owners for a fantastic stay in Sweetbriars. This is one of the (if not the) nicest cottages we have all stayed in (group of 7 adults). My 2 dogs came along to and were more than happy with all the lovely countryside walks on the doorstep. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. On arrival there was milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar and that days newspaper. The wifi was abit hit and miss but no one cared as we were there 'to get away from it all' not sit on phones/laptops etc etc. The garden is beautiful and very well maintained. We spent a lot of time out there! We ordered a Tesco delivery for the first night we were there, but the only downside we found was the fridge/freezer wasn't big enough to hold all the food for nearly a weeks stay. We ended up using our own cool bags in addition. Maybe a larger fridge in kitchen and a chest freezer in utility room?? There was also no hoover? we managed to use the dustpan and brush but was bit hard going on carpets! All the bedrooms/bathrooms are lovely, so clean with towels and linen provided. No one wanted to leave and all would definitely return. I will be recommending this beautiful home to everyone!!
Janet R – Jul 2016Didn't want to go home!
The property itself was a little complex to find. Despite clear instructions being given as to its whereabouts, the driveway entrance was missed as the sign faces approaching from the south (from the direction of Blackgang) as opposed to the north (from Newport and Cowes). That said, getting the keys to enter was as simple as opening a locked box to which the code was provided before departure. The house is set in what can best be described as idyllic countryside. It's quiet, peaceful, and there is little to no chance of being overlooked by neighbours. The house itself is a blend of old and new, with a mixture in heights of ceilings and doorways. This mixture did prove to be challenging to the taller members of my party, however it was quickly adapted to. Overall, where the house was situated made it great for reaching different places on the island, plus it is only ever a stones throw from the coast and from some stunning scenery. A wonderful welcome pack was provided, and the free WiFi was a wonderful bonus.
